Welcome...

Welcome to the new blog - the one of which I'll be talking about my mission stories and my journey to the field - and soon enough, my journey and stories on the field.

Right now, I'm at home - on break from Boyce College. Those of you who don't know - I'm majoring in missions.... and I'm thinking about a Biblical Language minor... we'll see.

I don't know if y'all noticed or not - but the title of the blog - His heart, His hands, His voice - is IMB's motto. *disclaimer- I don't take credit for coming up with that motto* --Missions is all about having God's heart, and being His hands and voice. This is my passion.... and it will always be my passion. I was called to international missions when I was 14 on my first mission trip - to the Amazon in Brazil. Honestly I always talked about pursing it, but until I made the decision to go to Bible College, I didn't  pursue it as much as I should have been. I'm so thankful that God, by His grace, led me in the right direction. As a missionary and as a Bible college student - I'm am no different than any other person. I'm not super woman - and I do make mistakes. A lot of times missionaries are put up on a pedestal - but I'm just someone who is following God's will for my life - there's nothing super human about me.

On that note - I have FINISHED my first semester at Boyce! It was the HARDEST semester I have ever worked through.... and probably one of the hardest things I have ever done.... and it will be worth it in the end..... :)

On another note - in a few weeks I'll be heading to Dallas for Wycliffe's - Total it up.... to find out if Bible translating might be for me. That should be the next big post I make. After that, I have a J-term [1 semester class packed into 1 week]... and then the Spring semester starts. When the spring semesters starts I'll have to start looking for another job. On top of that, this summer I might be spending a few months in West Africa.... we'll see just how things go.

That's all I have for now!
